100 Word Challenge | Pink

This is an entry for the 100 Word Challenge from Julia’s Place, a lovely little site with weekly flash fiction prompts.

“You’ve got a run in your stockings,” Little John pointed out. “And they look awful with your leg hair all matted.”

“It’ll do,” I huffed. “I’m not sure that pink is really my color either, but that’s beside the point now.”

It was my first time going undercover. Lt. Jones, noticeably more female than me, should have been the bait for tonight’s trap, but she bailed when her appendix burst.

“You look good,” said Little John.

I knew I looked good. It was my first time undercover, not my first time on the corner. But the station didn’t know that… yet.
